Anna Nicole Smith was released from Doctors Hospital in Nassau, the Bahamas, Monday after spending a week there recuperating from pneumonia, hospital president and CEO Barry Rassin said.
Smith had delivered her daughter, Dannielynn Hope, at the same hospital two months earlier, and her 20-year-old son Daniel died in her room three days later.
In October, the Royal Bahamas Police drafted a report on their investigation into Daniel Smith's death. Authorities found seven drugs in his system, including methadone and three prescription antidepressants – Zoloft, Lexapro and Amitriptyline.
The police turned their report over to the Bahamas Attorney General's Office on Oct. 19, the same day Smith buried her son in Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum in Nassau.
A coroner's inquest had originally been slated for Oct. 23. As of Tuesday, the courts had not announced if and when an inquest would be held.
