As they say on Broadway, "Break a leg." Perhaps Brooke Shields took that too literally?
Now that Lipstick Jungle is on hiatus, the 42-year-old star will undergo surgery to correct a chronic foot injury she sustained while performing on stage, the New York Post's Page Six reported Thursday.
"Yes, she is having surgery on a tendon," her rep told the paper. "It's from an old injury she got from dancing on Broadway. It's the second surgery she's had on it."
Shields's credits on the Great White Way include the revivals of Chicago, Wonderful Town, Grease and Cabaret.
