Don't accuse John Mayer of being humorless. The singer was out in New York for a party following the Met's Costume Institute Gala on Monday when he received a little gift – a T-shirt emblazoned with a not-so-flattering message. (The shirt read: Mr. D-----bag.)
Mayer's solution? He did a little fashion-doctoring, writing his own message on the shirt and proudly slipping it over his shirt and tie. After Mayer's editing, the shirt proclaimed: "Mr. Badass."
No word if the T-shirt referenced Mayer's antics surrounding his new, feathered '80s hairstyle. The singer recently solicited haikus from PEOPLE.com readers inspired by his 'do.
