Ignore the rumors: singer Leona Lewis is not getting married!
"Leona is definitely not engaged," her rep tells PEOPLE.
Britain's tabloids started the gossip when they printed pictures of Lewis wearing a diamond-free band on her wedding finger as she exited London's Crystal nightclub on Saturday.
But while Lewis has called long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa "the one" and admitted shed like to get married one day, the "Bleeding Love" singer has no plans to walk up the aisle just yet.
"Leona has worn that ring for years it is a friendship ring that Lou bought for her as a sign of commitment when they were teenagers," her rep further explains. "This story does the rounds every now and then."
Lewis, 23, has been dating Al-Chamaa for five years and first met the 23-year-old electrician when they were nine-year-olds living on the same street in Hackney, East London. They currently share a $250,000 home in London's Stamford Hill.
On May 9, she became the first British female solo artist to hold a U.S. number one album and single in the same week.
Her album Spirit is also the biggest-selling debut by a female artist since Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts in 2005 and scored the biggest digital album sales week ever for a new artist, male or female.
